Terms of Team Competition:

  • Each country can enter competition with two teams (gross and net), each consisting of 6 players and 1 substitute
  • A substitute may replace any player in the team on any playing day.
  • The proof of WHS (World Handicap System) handicap must be confirmed by the player’s national senior golf association by means of a record sheet submitted by their country’s senior golf association together with the names of the team members
  • Each player of the team must reach the age of 55 in the year of the event and be the citizen of the respective nominating nation. Each participating country may nominate one player per team who is not a national of that country
  • Each player of the team must be a member of the same country’s senior golf association, must have amateur status and have been a member of the country’s senior golf association they represent for at least 3 months
  • The inviting country’s Senior golf association determines the competition committee of the tournament
  • The game is played according to the The Rules of Golf (www.randa.org) and the special competition rules set by competition committee

Special Competition Rules:

  • All games are played as Stableford gross and net
  • Any team with less than 2 results on 2.day and less than 4 results on the 1.day and 3.day will be disqualified
  • Each country may name a team captain to lead the team and make decisions for it
  • The country captains can give advice according to the rule 24.4 of the R&A Rules
  • The team captain must notify the competition committee about the nomination of the players and the pairings no later than 16 hours before the next competition day
  • If the team captain does not notify the competition committee about the pairings for the second or third day of competition, the team will be entered in the competition in the same line-up as reported for the previous day
  • The starting list of the players in the tournament will be determined by drawing lots
  • The first and second playing day players starts in two groups brutto and netto from the highest average HCP of the flight
  • The third day of play starts brutto group from hole 1 and netto group from hole 10
  • On the third day, players in netto group from countries that are currently on 4th to 6th place start first, then starts players from countries that are currently on 1st to 3rd place
  • On the third day of the tournament, a maximum of two players from one national team can play together in one game group
  • In the case of the same result in the first place in the gross or net competition, the winner will be determined according to the auxiliary evaluation of the deleted results:
    • better deleted result from the fourball game
    • better deleted result from greensome game
    • better deleted result from singles game
  • The captain may submit a written protest to the competition committee after depositing 50 EUR, no later than 30 minutes after the end of the round
  • The players from the age of 65 can use golf carts, other players after presenting a medical certificate and approval by the competition committee
  • Distance only measuring devices are permitted

Applicable handicap limit:

  • Players included in the gross team must have an HCP lower than players included in the net team, with the exception of a substitute for the second or third competition day
  • During a tournament, a player from a gross team may not play in a net team or vice versa, even as a substitute.
  • teams gross: WHS handicap up to -15
  • teams net: WHS handicap up to -20. This means that a player with a handicap e.g. -25 can participate, but would have to compete with -20 handicap

Teeing grounds:

  • teams gros : blue tee ground
  • teams net: white tee ground

Players Score: is calculated by competition comitte in Stableford points based on strokes played by player or a side

  • teams gros : The player’s “Stableford gross score” for a hole is his gross score (strokes made and penalty strokes are taken into account). The player’s handicap is not applied
  • teams net: The player’s “Stableford net score” for a hole is the gross score adjusted according his course handicap
  • Allowed highest score on the hole is for player in team net par+3 , for team gross par+1
  • After reaching the highest allowed score, the player is obliged to pick up the ball and go to the next hole and write 0 or x in the scorecard
  • e.g. team net player with course handicap 20 is allowed to have highest score on par 3 hole 6 strokes. After the 6th stroke, the player is obliged to pick up the ball, write no score to scorecard and go to the next hole and write 0 or x in the scorecard

Form of play:

  • The competition takes place over three consecutive days
  • All three days are played with the HCP as reported to the competition committee before competition
  • All games are played as Stableford gross and net

teams gross:
Day 1: Four Ball Best Ball – players play without handicap
Day 2: Greensome – (Foursome with selection drive), players play without handicap
Day 3: Individual stroke play – players play without handicap
teams net:
Day 1: Four Ball Best Ball – players play with their course handicap based on their WHS handicap
Day 2: Greensome – teams play 2.day with course handicap based on 40 percent of the WHS handicap of a player with a higher handicap and 60 percent of the WHS handicap of his partner
Day 3: Individual stroke play – players play with full WHS handicap

Scorecards:

  • players are obliged to hand in the scorecard no later than 15 minutes after the end of the game
  • players are obliged to check their scorecards exclusively at the designated spot

Each player receives his scorecard from the starter at the start hole

Day 1: Four Ball Best Ball
teams net: every player has his own scorecard, and he needs to certify his hole scores (strokes) on the scorecard
teams gross: Each set of partners( a side ) has his own scorecard, and he needs to certify his hole scores (strokes) on the scorecard
Day 2: Greensome – Each set of partners needs to certify the side’s hole scores (strokes) on the scorecard (see Rule 3.3b).
Day 3: Individual stroke play – every player has his own scorecard, and he needs to certify his hole scores (strokes) on the scorecard
